Allen Wyatt, Mike Parker & FAIR: A Growing Fear of Dehlin?

Hey Stem,

for what it's worth, my DISLIKE of Dan, in addition to my lack of respect for him does not equate to “hate”.

This dislike and lack of respect are based on personal interactions with Dan that have nothing to do with this board, scratch or any other members here.

They were solidified on Liz’s old board when I tried my best to connect with him in a hate free zone.

Rather you want to believe it or not, John, in a Christ like manner has empathetically helped hundreds if not thousands. On the other hand you have Dan who only has the time of day or interest in anyone that can serve a purpose for him, kicking all others to the curb.

For that I dislike him, and have no respect for him.

The issue with them going after Dehlin is he's a popular public figure. The church wants to minimize bad press in an election year. A hit piece on Dehlin would only make the church look like the bad guys.

Whose gone after Dehlin? All I see is he going after DCP and others. Do you have anything to substantiate your claim of going after him?

John in an unChristlike manner has come here and gone on the attack for something he nor any of us have seen. Then he took off with some comment about how big of trolls LDS apologists are. Everybody has helped many people in their lives, which is a good thing. I commend him for it.

Has anyone given thought to the fact that maybe the reason Dan hasn't made any type of statement is because he is not at liberty to do so? It seems to me that this whole incident is based upon conjecture.

Maybe the reason that Dan hasn't responded is based on confidentiality issues involving his job.

Somewhere in this thread I asked Dan (rhetorically of course) how that BYU Honor Code was working for him.
I’m assuming, at this point, they would allow him to interact on Mormon Voices IF he uses an anonymous name there.

I took issue that he came here went on the attack on people who don't post here and left without answering any questions by me or Ray or anyone else who questioned him, his motives, and the whole story. That was pretty sorry behavior. I really expected more from him. Throw out some vitriolic comments and run off? Stem, that's a stunning piece of dishonesty on your part. You know that he came here because others were already talking about him with regard to this story. He said his bit about it, which was the right thing to do, and he left. He is under no obligation to spend his good time on people who ask stupid, disingenuous questions, cloud the issue, and waste everyone's time. Kind of like you are doing.

Let's just call it what it is rather than continuing the hostilities. We disagree. We plainly disagree. My thoughts are that he acted the part of a troll in what he did here. Your thoughts are that his behavior did not merit such. That does not make either of us dishonest, nor does it make either of us idiots. Maybe both are a little biased, to say the least.
