What if your rapist is of the same gender? Would that mean it would be a gay marriage?
If you were gang raped, would it be a polygamous marriage? Would the Biblical law to marry your rapist take precedence over Wilford Woodruff's opinion that polygamy should not be practiced?
If you are a female virgin, and you are raped, and you marry your rapist, should you be stoned for not being a virgin before your wedding?

Wasn't it SWK who recommended death before "allowing" rape? So how can you marry your rapist, if you're dead?
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
11 When men strive together one with another, and the wife of the one draweth near for to deliver her husband out of the hand of him that smiteth him, and putteth forth her hand, and taketh him by the secrets: 12 Then thou shalt cut off her hand, thine eye shall not pity her.

when believers want to give their claims more weight, they dress these claims up in scientific terms. When believers want to belittle atheism or secular humanism, they call it a "religion". -Beastie

Not really. The penalty for rape in general was stoning (Deut. 22:25). But if the woman wasn't married or betrothed already, the rapist was spared in order to provide a living for her likely since she was now undesirable not being a virgin.
