But it is the story involving John Lauber, described as “a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney … walking around the all-boys school with bleached-blond hair that draped over one eye” that may cause problems for the former governor. After Romney rounded up some friends, including Matthew Friedmann, who gave his version of the story to the Post, “they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.”

He was a minor at the time -- why would it bug you? This is a hit piece. I expect all kinds of stories like this to be drug out during the campaign, but we never get real stories about Obama's youth. Maybe they should do a little more investigative reporting there. Does the fact Obama was doing drugs in high school and college bother you? Some drugs can cause permanent brain damage ...

DarkHelmet is a fence-sitter and his seed likely mixed with Cain or else he would have no problem with the bullying incident.

It shows he was a douche in high school, but peer pressure + incomplete brain development in teenagers leads them to do all kinds of stupid things.

In 1965 Romney would have been 18 (or nearly 18) and thus adult. He could have gone to Vietnam if he'd wanted to for Pete's sake.

In truth, most LDS would probably see bullying a common practice here--message board bullying. I guess sometimes bullies don't realize they are the aggressors. I think I heard that before...some survey saying kids who complain about bullying are often seen by other kids as the bullies.

Do you plan to apologize for bullying John Dehlin?

He didn't go to Vietnam?
Really?

Nah. Had to go to France and serve out a time share on a chateau or something.

The next time I give some bleached blonde kid a forced haircut or put my dog on a roof for a drive across international borders you can question my moral compass.

Are we sure Mitt is a US citizen?
