What happened is while the devil was burying all of the dinosaur and Neanderthal bones all over the world he was also hiding all of the evidence of steel, horses, wheat, wine, olives etc in the Americas and altered millions of people’s DNA. He also managed to hide all evidence of the flood, kill off the one type of fish that could swallow a man without killing him, and hid all evidence of Moses and his walk in the desert with hundreds of thousands of people. Then in his spare time he snuck into the museum that had the Book of Abraham papyri and changed the hieroglyphs.

It is so obvious…

Darn you Satan! Darn you to heck!!!

Yep, he is one hard working adversary. I heard he is gay too.

Darth J has living prophets and Apostles?

You're talking to people who have faith and testimony. If Joseph Smith restored the Gospel, then all else will be revealed when it's revealed. Of course you're making it all out to be worse than it sounds. You always leave out the fact of the missing papyri as well has historical facts like Egyptian rulers had a penchants for changing and erasing history that made them look bad. There has never been criticism strong enough to be catastrophic to the Church when all angles have been examined.

Well, not everyone here has your faith and testimony. I would bet that there are more that don't have it then do around here.

There does exist criticism that is very damning to the 'Church'. You just refuse to see it. "There are none so blind as those who will not see".
This, or any other post that I have made or will make in the future, is strictly my own opinion and consequently of little or no value.

Aren't they prophets and apostles for the whole world, bcspace?

You're talking to people who have faith and testimony.

No, I'm talking to people who have faith. A testimony means that you have personal knowledge. You only have personal knowledge that you have certain emotional experiences that, through operant conditioning, you have been taught to associate with the proposition that the Church is true. You do not have a testimony to offer as to the historicity of the Book of Mormon, the authenticity of the Pearl of Great Price, and so on, because you have no knowledge of those things.

If Joseph Smith restored the Gospel, then all else will be revealed when it's revealed.

"Joseph Smith, therefore Thomas Monson is a prophet" is a non sequitur.

Of course you're making it all out to be worse than it sounds. You always leave out the fact of the missing papyri

and the fact that we faked the Apollo moon landing, and the fact that Bigfoot lives in the Pacific Northwest, and the fact that water retains the memory of materials that were dissolved in it.......

as well has historical facts like Egyptian rulers had a penchants for changing and erasing history that made them look bad.

as shown in Cecil B. DeMille's documentary.

There has never been criticism strong enough to be catastrophic to the Church when all angles have been examined.

Likewise, there has never been criticism strong enough to be catastrophic to the

-astrology
-Voodoo
-Scientology
-Wicca
-the Church of Satan
-Seventh-day Adventistism
-Buddhism
-Roman Catholicism

when all angles have been examined. So all of those things are true, too. As long as a belief system is not utterly wiped off the face of the Earth, it is true.

when all the excuses have been made

when all the parsing of words has been done

when all the far fetched explanations have been made

all the "angles" indeed.

That was a rather telling choice of words, wasn't it?

At times, bcspace inadvertently gives away what he really thinks. Last month, he said:

I would agree that the LDS Church, your only hope for salvation, is a bit like root beer. Bubbly, cloying, happy, and......insidious.

cloying

adjective:
1. Causing or tending to cause disgust or aversion through excess: a perfume of cloying sweetness.
2. Overly ingratiating or sentimental.

insidious

adjective:
1. Proceeding in a gradual, subtle way, but with harmful effects: "the insidious effects of stress".
2. Treacherous; crafty: "an insidious alliance".

Synonyms:
sly - treacherous - guileful - crafty – perfidious
