Do you think the space aliens that are visiting our planet are hiding themselves because they're peaceful and don't want to cause problems, like E.T.? Or is it because they are biding their time and plotting violence against us, like the Martians in War of the Worlds?

No one in their right mind seriously believes in space aliens, DJ. Not even the oh so empty minded Ray A. Stop imputing such on him. His personality is enough without made up conspiracy theories. Shame.

I think there's room for optimism here. If the aliens landing here will be like what happened to the Native Americans when Christopher Columbus landed in the New World, then we can at least hope that some day the aliens will let us operate casinos and use peyote.
The space alien equivalent of the Trail of Tears is sure going to suck, though. I guess that would be, what? We all have to load up on the Space Shuttle and old Viking rockets and as we are forcibly relocated to Alpha Centauri?
I wonder why the speculation doesn't tend to be that the space aliens are at or near a Stone Age technology level, or that they're basically just a bunch of lichens or self-aware clouds of gas that we could never communicate with. It's probably not because Ufology is a modern surrogate religion or something.

"Aliens" is not just about Ufology. In fact, to some aliens "UFOs" may seem like horse-drawn carts. But as I said, I'm not going into that anymore here on this board.
Maybe when the aliens get here, one of them will be an unsuccessful treasure hunter, and he will produce a book telling how all the loathsome white-skinned humans who are still around killed off the righteous, green-skinned humans in a genocidal war. And then other aliens who believe in his book will start looking for signs of advanced technology on the Earth as evidence (but not proof!) that the righteous green-skinned humans were really here and had a complex civilization with laser guns and stuff like that.
