This a great discussion. Pretty much rewrites everything I was taught about Joseph's visitations. They were all in vision, and not actual physical events.
Who knew?!
I always figured the claimed was physical. So if I have dreamed of Jesus can I claim to have seen him in a vision?

So if I dreamed this morning that I was visiting a neighbor (in LDS-dominated territory) and sank in mud in their yard up to my arm-pits, then it actually happened?
