Businesses that can't compete can and must be allowed to fail. But we don't need the added strain of liberal Democrat economic policies to increase the count by skewing the economics. As for the song, these are the people that Democrats hate and use whenever possible.

This is unsurprising because Americans are divided on the issue. We're a nation of immigrants and pride ourselves in being a land of opportunity for those eager to seek the American Dream.

Why would a country stuggling with such unemployment problems be choosing to bring in more unskilled labor? I guess the votes can be brought for cheap when it's somebody elses job your selling.

We have a furniture making plant here in which a fair number of our Stake are employed. Because of Obamcare, they converted all full time employees into temps and part timers and froze hiring. Then they decided to move the plant to Mexico. The layoffs have begun. There was no economic reason for this plant to fail until Obama and the Democrats started their social tinkering.

If only the LDS temp and part time workers had announced that they would would be willing to reduce their wages to the Mexican equivalent and forgo all benefits, perhaps this employer would have been willing to stay.

If only Obamacare, which has frozen hiring since it's inception, had not passed. Then the US would be a better place to invest. Plus you're living on the margin and not back in reality. When wages go down prices are driven down all other things being equal. All things are far from equal when socialists like Obama are in power. The unions, who are living on the margin, try to beat the system, not by working or producing anything (public sector unions don't produce anything at all), but by the standard left wing tactic of theft. No Democrat has any inkling of how wealth is created or it's relative value.

Only a confirmed socialist like Obama would even think of giving health care to those who are not already covered by health insurance. Shall we not remain the sole beacon of liberty in the wake of all other industrial nations being a rabid pack of socialists with their leftist health care? Let us create wealth untold and leave the sick to their fate.
