I suppose bcspace may feel able to doubt that 'it' in the posts by Shirts and Barney refers to Dr Scratch's post of DCP's letter.

I suppose bcspace may feel able to believe that Shirts and Barney are talking about whether the post linked to is really by Scratch or not, rather than about whether the email he posted was by DCP.
