Hey precious people,

Mormonism (and all that sorrounds it) is deeply fascinating, rather bizarre, and often divisive. No doubt about it, in my opinion.

A few thoughts (perhaps naïve and ignorant based?) from a Never-Mo.

I feel for DCP and his family/friends (I would have similar feelings for any human being that might find themselves in these circumstances. That's just how I'm wired)

It is my opinion that this type of decision/direction/change has been made and decided by a collection of powerful and high ranking people. Without doubt, in my mind, the fingerprints of many are all over this and have been for some time now.

That is how this type of thing always happens, period. Always! Always!

Apologetics, in general, is a very, very tough gig.
Mormon apologetics is a complete and total nightmare!

Of course, that is just my take!

Peace,

Chap wrote:(To which the answer is, of course, that a law that 'emerges' later can't make a illegal a preceding action. Quite apart, that is, from the large degree of protection to free speech given by the US Constitution which would make it very difficult to outlaw criticism, even open mockery, of someone who deliberately puts himself in the public sphere as much as DCP has done, and is as deliberately contentious as DCP has been.)

Ray A. is a strange being: an exmo kamikaze for Mopologetics. Still, we all have the right to choose what we want to be.

I don't think Ray knows what he believes. He's obviously snapped, again.

Free speech is a given right. Try taking that away and there will be civil war.

I'm pretty sure I know what I believe, Paul.

I'm very hesitant, but here goes:

Honour Thy Father and Thy Mother..

Don't fight Mormonism, because you're wasting your time.

Have a good night, Paul (and I mean it this time).

It's morning time for me, Ray.

The sun is shining in Dallas. Come visit me sometime.

If I ever get to America (God willing) you'll be one of the first people I'd like to meet. I'll have a drink with you.

It's nearly 1am here in Oz, and way past my bedtime.

Sweet dreams beckon me.

Night.

Ceeboo, disappointingly indulging in the anti-DCP hatred that proliferates in this bilge pit of a vile board.

We know of one prophet who paid a hefty price for messing with free speech.

I am not condoning his death, but it is clear that Americans value their right to publish and speak their minds.

And, much, if not most, of what was printed in the Nauvoo Expositor was factually true; it was just presented in a sensational manner.

Huh. Interesting. I figured he was going to maintain his silence on that board until he got back in the country. I wonder why he didn't speak up sooner, and I wonder what he means by the above line. That thought had occurred to me before, too, though. If the informant was one of the recipients of Dan's email, how did we get the email from Dr. Bradford, too?

It's a good sign. He's back on his game.

Maybe Dan needs a 12 step program. Isn't acknowledging your weaknesses one of the first steps?

Strains Credulity..

DCP likes to rub shoulders with and name drop the GAs whenever he can do either, but he thinks that Bradford would take such a move as dismissing DCP without getting the okay and approval up the hierarchical chain?

I think DCP and Hamblin should get together, commiserate over root beer floats, all the while holding in their hands and gazing at the 2nd Watson Letter, ruminating over the good ole days.

They are a couple of worn out apologists that have had their fun under the sun. Turn out the lights because their party is over. Mormonism has been proven over and over again to be a fraud and thus we see that Facsimile No. 3 will forever stick in their guts -- let them bleed and moan over their inability to answer for the Explanations of Egyptologist Joe Smith.

Slam dunk!
