Peggy Fletcher Stack has all of the information about DCPs dismissal. But the last time I heard from her she said she was busy with other Mormon stories.

Anyone know any other journalists this could be sent to?

I'm not sure it's newsworthy on a wider scale.

Peterson is largely a nobody to most of the population and a majority of members and The Maxwell Institute is largely a nonentity to the same.

Perhaps Deseret News will run with it...

Dan's dismissal was a cowardly act. At least it should have been done with a personal call-in to the office and explained. And with a thank you to dan. Editors are changed all the times, usually because of a direction of policy. No problem. But the way this was done reeks of cruelty.

But such is life these days. It can be a cruel world and cruelty comes in places where it is least expected at times.

It just gripes your rearend that us anti-Mormon apostates behave better than your Mormon buddies you worship do.

I love it how Bill Hamblin confirmed everything Doctor Scratch and the informant have told us. I don't see a single explicit denial or even any inconsistency with what we were told.

We are actually hearing Bill's interpretation of the story. And this is a very important interpretation when we consider that the exmormon interpretation was there for all to read.

Is there any significant difference between Bill's side and the version we've known about for almost a week via Dr. Scratch?




I also love how everybody on the MD&D thread is taking Dan's side. One guy is so loyal to Dan that he suggests the Church might defund BYU for hosting an institution like the MI that would give documents to apostates and harm DCP.

Isn't the Maxwell Institute locate on BYU Provo campus? If so, I've no desire for LDS funds to support any organization whose membership includes sending classified documents to Mormon apostates. If this is true it is time to clean house. If the Maxwell Institute, whom I've come to greatly appreciate and admire, does not oust the leaker than it's time to oust the Maxwell Institute. Heck, I wish I could even change its name at this point.

When I go to MD&D (I am banned for life and have no account there any longer) I get a message that I have exceeded my allowed views.

I served my mission in London England in the early 80's and we we told to never use that word. It's pretty nasty. It's like saying “F” off.
