Update... Here you go http://www.mormondialogue.org/topic/58141-how-critical-information-affects-members-of-the-church/

Could you post the actual text, at least the juicy bits, since some of us can not view the board, at all.

Thanks in advance!

That would get banned for sure. They get pissed when the banned folks over here get their information and vice versa. I don't think they were very happy with MercyGrace for cross posting for Kishkumen... and she is a regular.

I sure got my ass handed to me last night.

Cwald, it's painful watching some of those pile-ons. I think I may soon have to quit going to that board, because while there are some decent chaps over there, on the whole, reading and participating there makes me want to distance myself from the church, which was not my intent when I first visited. If regaining my testimony is going to make me act like the some of the outspoken posters there, I'd rather go apostate.

Yeah, exactly.

Cwald,

I greeted you over there so at least those who care to know will recognize that you aren't a troll.

Hope you are well,
Cate

Here's the PowerPoint presentation, for those who want to skip/skim through it.

Sorry we don't have a transcript yet, but can work on getting something out.

Be on the board but not of the board? LOL.

I don't wish to derail this thread, but I would like to contrast the approach John Dehlin takes with the approach someone like Pahoran takes.
Pahoran wrote:And speaking of dishonesty...

Jaybear wrote:The internet provide struggling members with a vast support group former members who will validate their concerns, and help ease their exit from the LDS Church.

Actually the way to "support" people who are "struggling" is to help them to win, not discourage them to the point where they surrender.  Calling a network of hate propaganda sites a "support group" is a startlingly dishonest and manipulate use of language.

Pretty much in the ignoble tradition of a gang of worthless apostates claiming to be "recovering" from something.

Regards,
Pahoran

People like Pahoran are the reason Mormon stories is needed.

John,

Thank you for the link. I just finished listening to the whole presentation, and yes it's time for me to show my support.
