I ask, not because I don't have a definition, but because I spent some 8+ years at 2 fairly liberal Protestant seminaries and don't recall every hearing the term. True, I was studying history, not theology or biblical studies.
If you hang around Mormon scholarly (and some non-scholarly) circles it comes up in every other sentence. Why the Mormon obession?
