Skousen Fireside in Cedar City
I saw this posted on the Mormon Dialogue board:
Recovering the Original Text of the Book of Mormon
Although I'm not really that interested, I'm thinking I might go to this just so I can ask Skousen what he thinks about the recent events at the MI.
Any other ideas for questions I might ask him?

Yes. Ask him what sort of rebuke he received from the Brethren for publishing his original text through a non-LDS publisher without letting the Brethren censor it first.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Not sure that would go over too well. What do you think?
I think I'd rather ask something that you can say in polite company, but is still a question worth asking.

"Was your decision to use a non LDS publisher because you wanted more literary control?" or something like that.

How about this: "Did any General Authorities become upset at you for publishing your book through a non-LDS publisher?"

Ask him if he is working on the book of Abraham manuscripts at all? Schryver has been saying for years now that Skousen supports his BS theories.

Ask him if he knows that Will is using him as a reference.
(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.

Ask him if he even knows Will.
