Punishing the Failthful

It has come to my attention that the Mormon Corporation has increased its Punishment of the Faithful as of late. Examples

1. A TBM in my office spends his lunch hour and breaks doing Genealogy work on-line because the "Youth of the Church" don't seem to "Understand" the importance. He is also a temple worker and has been told that without more names the work in the temple will slow to a point where the workers could be reduced in number.

2. Another TBM in my office has complained er I mean, mentioned how only five or six families in his ward ever volunteer to clean the Mormon church and that it seems like every other Saturday he and his wife are spending all day cleaning.

You don't feel sorry for people who believe, have been struggling to do everything asked of them, and now have extra work heaped onto their shoulders?

No.
Because they are adults who have the ability to say 'no'.

My ward has no problem finding people to do either of these tasks on a regular basis. There's a lot of peer pressure to do one's part in the cleaning especially. The cleaning assignments aren't "volunteer". They're assignments like any other assignment, list in the weekly bulletin and expected to be fulfilled. Even the SP and his wife take their turns.

Geneology is one of those things our elderly and disabled do, and it seems to fit their needs well.

Because they are adults who have the ability to say 'no'.

Their church has them ensnared in perpetual childhood.

However, they are still losers. I saw an example of this, this weekend. Yes, drifting.

No one here would point out that you didn't show up. They would, however, make another check mark in the negative column, should your son ever want to date their daughter.
