Perhaps the church already has taken action.

John isn't being allowed to baptise his 8 year old son.

Where is that located on his page? Do you have a link? I tried to find it and couldn't.

Why is he not being allowed to baptize his son? What is he being disciplined for?

It's in the article linked in the OP.

“Unfortunately I have been disciplined by my bishop — and have been told that I will not be allowed to baptize my son (who recently turned eight) because of the podcast — so we’re not out of the woods yet.”

Discuss.

Is there really room for "maybe"? If the ultimate goal of Mormonism is to reach the highest heights of the Celestial Kingdom, complete with being the God of your own planet/star/whatever... and Dear Leader is willing to publicly throw that ultimate goal under the bus for the sake of good PR... is there even a question?

From the article
Elder Boyd K. Packer has been an intimidating presence within the leadership of the Church. As president of the senior Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, his deep, gravel voice

Deep gravel voice? It is gravelly, but since when has he had a deep voice? He sounds like an old woman who smokes 5 packs a day.
