It isn't going to matter at all. People use this kind of strategy to gain publicity. But it doesn't matter for most people that 200 Mormons resign in one day. How many catholics have fell away after the sex abuse scandal? Or episcopals because of gay marriage?

I don't think the main media will pay much attention to this.

By the way, the US has been lying about its history from its very inception. Or should I say reinterpreting it. It happens with almost every public organization. However it is not lying to omit something.

Everything ever created has a negative somewhere. If we wish to focus on a negative one can be found. The people who are resigning found a negative that they wish to focus on. It is the same for any organization. The Mormon church has more positives than negatives. But, yes, if one wants to find a negative, they can.

Now whyme, I want you to listen carefully, m'kay? The Mormon church is built on a foundation of lies, deceptions, obfuscations, and misdirection. That is true news and big news. The Mormon church takes normal, imperfect people and turns them into judgmental, weak-minded followers who are swindled out of 10% of their income, loads of their time, and much of their freedom. And this is not done mistakenly. This deception is carefully calculated and perfectly manipulated.

It is relief to see that, chief amongst the weak-minded, is you, an apostate. That's right - you have joined the Catholic church and that makes you an apostate. An apostate spokesperson for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Every time you open your mouth to defend the lie, you become complicit in the lie. To purposely not disclose something in order to alter the outcome or viewpoint most certainly is a lie.

I'll break it down for you since you seem to have a hard time grasping things.

If you apply for a job, and purposely omit the fact that you were convicted of a serious crime, and then your employer finds out about it later, you're fired. For what? Not being truthful (lying) on your job application.

The result of trying to blend Mormonism and Catholicism is mental illness. They are mutually incompatible, because Mormonism is a foolish imitation of Catholicism. It is impossible to be both.
