They have an adult basement? I've never heard of a public library with such a thing. Scandalous!

I bet they are trying to protect it from vandals.

My wife used to work there and you are exactly right.

I think most Utah libraries have a restricted section so books can be safe from the many book burners and banners.

The library cleaners work hard to keep our public libraries safe for the faith of TBM's and potential converts. Never mind those who enjoy real nonfiction.

Yup. I used to work for BYU Special Collections and this is why we would keep the "anti-Mormon" books under lock and key.

This is the problem my mother saw while involved with a library in the Nauvoo area, and which got her to quit ignoring Mormon-related issues.

Exactly. I can still remember the anti-porn vigilante mom in the 70's who glued together many pages of art history texts in the U of U library...

I showed this to my wife. This book is partly responsible for her awakening regarding the church. After she read the book (which I conveniently left lying around), the garments immediately came off and were replaced by Victoria's Secret (not kidding).

Her comment on the photo: "That's so Orem!".
