Gordon B. Hinckley was steady as the North Star in proclaiming his convictions? Well, I don't know that we teach that. I don't know that we practice it. I know the philosophical background behind it, but I don't know a lot about it, and I don't know that others know a lot about it.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"

Gordon B. Hinckley

First Counselor in the First Presidency
October 1994

"On the other hand, the whole design of the gospel is to lead us onward and upward to greater achievement, even, eventually, to godhood. This great possibility was enunciated by the Prophet Joseph Smith in the King Follet sermon (see Teachings of the Prophet Joseph Smith, pp. 342–62; and emphasized by President Lorenzo Snow. It is this grand and incomparable concept: As God now is, man may become! (See The Teachings of Lorenzo Snow, comp. Clyde J. Williams, Salt Lake City: Bookcraft, 1984, p. 1.)

Our enemies have criticized us for believing in this."

At least he scolded! Too often conference talks are just pablum, or worse... redigested horse manure. I liked him. I miss him. And if Pres Monson dies or is incapacitated, I'm going to miss him even more.

We know that he did not hold to his convictions. What are you saying?

What do you mean?

His lies to the police shocked and severely disappointed me. Is it an attack to say so?

For a Prophet of God and the President of the Church to demonstrate publicly that he was too embarassed about a teaching of his Church is a bit of a disgrace. However, we all make mistakes.
The bigger disgrace was when he stood up at Conference a, in the style of a wink and a nudge, proclaimed that actually he knew rather more than he was letting on. That he didn't apologise unreservedly is where the shame is.

Did he ever stand up for the so-called inspired Explanations of Facsimile No. 3? No, he did not! His ability to act as a seer/revelator or translator was just as stupid as Joseph Smith's who botched up the papyrus in lying in the name of the Lord.

Let the bastard rot in his grave and the worms eat him. I hate him.

There.

I like Grape Nuts. Fanny and I often share a bowl.

Isn't it marvelous?

Following the North Star will only cost you 10% of your total income and no masturbation.

Isn't it marvelous?

Goodnight.

The man had an entire lifetime to set the record straight with Facsimile No. 3 and he failed to do so. Why? Because he was a liar for the Lord.
