Thanks for an interesting read.

Anyone who has served understands the sense of despair that missionaries feel. The intensity of despair surely varies with conditions.

An RM that will not acknowledge this publicly, cannot argue with his subconscious mind though. We all have the nightmare of getting called to serve a second tour of duty at some point after arriving home :biggrin: .

Oh man, I so remember that. Then when I woke up, I would feel guilty that I did not want to go back.

What? You mean if I had asked I could have returned, again and again? Man! I would have gone without purse or scrip too. And better with no damn companion. Sheesh they were all wusses.
