(Nevo, Jan 23) And the Melchizedek Priesthood may not have been restored until the summer of 1830, several months after the organization of the Church.
Mormonism and its miraculous origins are, for some, a particularly easy target.
I mostly agree with this. Just put the word "allegedly" in front of "miraculous" and replace the word "some" with "everyone who isn't a Mormon" and replace the word "particularly" with the word "extremely".

Mormons welcome truth from whatever source and take the pragmatic view that where religion and science seem to clash, it is simply because there is insufficient data to reconcile the two.
Yes. I'm sure science one day will fold on the whole evolution thing.
Our families may be corrupted by worldly trends and teachings unless we know how to use the book to expose and combat the falsehoods in socialism, organic evolution, rationalism, humanism, etc.
This is scare tactics and an appeal to ignorance. Suspend reason, logic, science, critical thinkking, and wala! You have Mormonism confirmed.....er in faith anyway. They ask TOO MUCH. I no longer want to simply believe and turn off my brains. I want evidence, reasonable looking into the issues from ALL angles, and if it is TRUTH, then it will stand. This is completely rational and reasonable isn't it? Except when it comes to organized religion. Sigh......
