I don't have a belief that God works around us. God works through us, in our everyday lives. Right where we are, now.

I like this. I would add: even when we don't know it, or acknowledge it.

You are right. A prayer is nothing but wishful thinking. You can pray all you want; you will get no response. But If you pray to my God SpagettiMonster even for ten minutes, I can mail you Ten Dollars to show that SpagettiMonster aerlly exists.
