I've noticed younger voices tend to sound better. When the combined youth choirs sing in the Mormon Tabernacle they sound better, however, they are singing snappier religious songs than in the regular choirs repertoire.

For true comparison sake, you need to have both choirs sing the same material with the same arrangement. My guess is that while the Brooklyn group have better individual voices, the Salt Lake group's polish would shine through.

aside from the obvious promotional posting this is quite a thinly veiled insult.
The notion that this choir is better than the other is merely a point of opinion, and personally i was not impressed by the links provided. Though they were talented musicians, i saw no real cause to claim that they were "better" than any other contestant at the world choir games.

As for the notion that evangelicals have more powerful music? frankly you lost me at "evangelicals"...but the obvious answer is that the Evangelicals need more powerful music because their message and doctrine have been so watered down that nothing else will attract members to their cause.


I'm certain no Mormon music can come close to this

As for Ishmael applauding the house-bringing-down "spirit band", obviously the temporal pleasure is more significant than the spiritual....hopefully there was an awesome light show and carnival rides in the parking lot. Now i understand why so many are confused about the distinction between the spirit and "feelings"
