My first encounter with the word "tryst"...

Post by _zeezrom »

...happened at the FAIR website.

I'm not sure why I never noticed this word before. I've read a good number of books up until the point at which I entered the FAIR site. I guess I hadn't yet read the steamy ones.

Anyway, it's kind of humorous that I learned something naughty over there at the ripe age of 35.

Please reference the FAIR article discussing Joseph Smith's love letter to Sarah.
Oh for shame, how the mortals put the blame on us gods, for they say evils come from us, but it is they, rather, who by their own recklessness win sorrow beyond what is given... Zeus (1178 BC)

You're becoming more erudite. by the way, "tryst" isn't necessarily "steamy" or "naughty". For example, in LOTR:FOTR (book):

"But such a thing has not happened before, that Gandalf broke tryst and did not come when he promised."
