I decided long ago to never eat there because of their stupid name. I've still never ever seen one of their "restaurants," so it's sort of a moot point.

A few weeks ago we were on our way to a family thing, along the way there was a billboard announcing a new Chik fil a and I was thinking the same as you. I wouldn't eat there, I just wouldn't want to say "let's go to Chik fil a" then my husband pipes up and says "what a stupid name". Like you I've never seen one, though I guess they recently built one about 20 minutes from my house.

It's a pun. I would have thought you would like a restaurant that uses a clever literary device in its name.

Perhaps others have heard the news, but the head of the fast-food Chik-Fil-A has been the object of criticism after he declared that he opposes same-sex marriage.

And he has the right to do so. Now of course, people will refuse to go there because of his stance but these people do not believe in freedom of expression. Sad commentary on american culture and the way people attempt to limit freedom of expression.

The thought police are out in full force in america.
