Peppermint Patty ~ Welcome to the forum. This can be a tough place to post, but there are people here who make it worth it. I hope you stick around.

So far, it doesn't seem to be the evil place that I hear about so often.
Our reputation for evil far exceeds the reality, in my opinion. Welcome to the bb!!!!

That's why I was so amazed that they banned Bob Crockett. He has been an apologist for a long time and is also a prominent lawyer. I'm still stunned that they would ban him and not Will.
Those cats have never like Bob.
Poor Bob.

People like you and Mercy and Darth J, Kish, Scratch, Chap, Blixa, Consiglieri...you have all made it easy to adjust to a different board dynamic. I'm grateful.

TAO, you have some naïvété and much wisdom, please see the final assault on Calmoriah by william. In the final posts of the thread, he comes out directly and accusing calmoriah of aligning herself with apostates. And why does he accuse her of this? Because she disagreed with him, because she had the fortitude to say he erred.

He then berates her again and claims the LDS Church is becoming chuck full of manipulated weaklings....(is william "bat crap crazy" schryver really Droopy?)

Calmoraih has a rather good response for william, which hopefully cut him to his core

Peppermint Patty,
Welcome.
A little late to the thread. (The thread title gives no indication that you were here.)
I have followed your posts on the other board from time to time and am glad to see you here. Your screen name and avatar (which I am glad you brought with you when you came) make a memorable combination.
In an earlier post, someone (M&G?) said something to the effect that you might find yourself alone in stating (defending?) your beliefs on this board. The important thing to remember is that a lot of what brings folks to this board is that they enjoy an absence of certain beliefs.
Since there is no requirement for a specific set of beliefs (or non-beliefs) here, one is never on the "Outside", for the simple reason that there is really is no "Inside" to begin with.
Since most of us are Mormons or former Mormons, you may well find a lot more empathy and understanding of the Mormon perspective than you anticipated
All opinions and points of view are welcome. Just be ready to defend them with facts and evidence and you should enjoy yourself.
