Yes, I really, really don't agree that your ideological hobbyhorse is the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Get over it.

I'm a foreigner on a distant continent, turning to this board with a question that interests me. The reason for chosing this board is the level of knowledge of things related to Mormonism that I find here, combined with intelligent and open conversation.

Boy, did you ever take a wrong turn at Albuquerque.

The gospel is my life, as is the continual pursuit of light, knowledge, wisdom and intelligence, among which are serious and deep political concerns.

As one who's sole relationship with the gospel is to thoroughly, and with malice and vindictive spite, dismantle, degrade, and impugn its legitimacy and truth claims, destroy the faith and convictions of Church members in it, and delegitimate its core doctrines, you are not competent - intellectually or morally - to evaluate my motives or those of any other defender of the Church.

You have shown, quite clearly, just in recent debates with me, that you're understanding of basic Church teachings is marginal, at best, and you only deploy what you do know as polemical fodder, not as serious philosophical explorations of opposing views.

In other words, yet again, let me be clear: you're an intellectual poseur, just like your invertebrate comrade-in-anti-Mormonism, Scratch.

And let me be clear to you, Drippy: your behavior here is about as unrepresentative of the Gospel as I can possibly imagine, which is a much greater crime than being a pretentious jerk or a fringe political fanatic. Unfortunately you excel at all of that, giving the example of Christ little more than lip service in your activities.

Hi Droopy.
You seem to be trying hard to collect stars in a special crowd, but to me you appear to be just a waste of time. I stopped reading what you write a while ago, because you come across as just another Dan/Will/Selek/Bspace/Wade/Pahoran.
= lots of words and emotions, but no CONTENT of interest for a real human being with real questions.
Thanks for farting in my thread, now be on your marry way and go play over at MADB.
About Joseph Smith.. How do you think his persona was influenced by being the storyteller since childhood? Mastering the art of going pale, changing his voice, and mesmerizing his audience.. How do you think he was influenced by keeping secrets and lying for his wife and the church members for decades?

I own you. I can bring you and the rest of the posse out in force like a pack of flesh-hungry Dingos on any given day, at any time of the day, with a snap of my fingers. Coming here and so much as showing my face on any of the threads pertaining to the new apologetic journal was the equivalent of smacking a Yellowjacket nest with at baseball bat.

I anticipated the reaction, but I've been in a bit of a feisty mood lately and wanting to stir the pot a bit here. It doesn't take much, of course. Skins are so thin, tempers so hair-trigger, intellectual egos so bloated, anger so deep, bitterness so sharp, bigotry to intense, and personal hostility and intolerance for dissenting opinions so deeply ingrained that only the slightest pretext is required to send this entire board into critical mass.

Its fun controlling you, manipulating you; watching you hop and thrash about like bugs on a hot skillet whenever certain key phrases are said, arguments made, certain names mentioned, or topics broached. You're hatred, intolerance, and clench-toothed pack-mentality when core, self defining myths and carefully crafted protective narratives are challenged and subjected to criticism is yet another reminder that what really drives anti-Mormonism, at is very center, is a mob mentality that combines and lashes out at the existential threat apologetics poses to the gnawing bad conscience that festers at the core of apostate anti-Mormonism, and each individual who willingly participates in it.

Please, continue the feeding frenzy. Turn the frothing, foaming maelstrom around you red with apologetic blood. Eat your fill. Fight! Struggle with every particle of heart, mind, and will you have against Jesus Christ, against his Church, against his servants, against his laws, counsel, and commandments. Let your burning, molten fear and despisal of the teachings, standards, boundaries, conditions, and disciplines of the gospel drive you to a frenzy of personal animosity towards anyone who dares to stand up in the belly of the beast itself and defend its claims and authority.

Round-up the posse, because there will be more lynchings coming in the future. Oh yes. The issues surrounding the Book of Abraham are in their childhood. The discussion and analysis of its origin is just beginning. Its not going away, and the critics have thus far failed to make any headway in making their theoretical case. The posse cannot allow further scholarly work to see the light of day. The posse needs to control the narrative and set the terms of debate.

And the ends, of course, justify the means used.

Quite a snap you got there, Droppy. Have arthritis?

I give you an A+ for effort, a C for skill, and an F for economy of words.

I have, however, formed a much more accurate impression of your character based on the mass of vomitous, seething hatred and cartoonish self-importance you have defecated in your post:

Whats the deal with the right wing wannabe superchristian paraniod anti kommunist stalker Mormon attitude Droopy?
You think Jesus is a rightwinger?
You think he agrees with you that the poor can care for themselves, and don't need a piece of Your pie?
I think you are mistaking him for his brother, Lucifer.

Irrelevant. Jesus was not involved in politics of any kind, at least directly, at any time during his life that we have any record of.

You think he agrees with you that the poor can care for themselves, and don't need a piece of Your pie?

The implications of this statement are quite interesting, to say the least. So "the poor" need a piece of my "pie," eh? Interesting.

What, in your estimation, is the core answer to poverty? That is to say, very broadly speaking, and looking at long term improvements in the lives of as many poor people as possible, what is the fundamental means through or by which the poor can be lifted out of poverty, and lifted, for all intents, permanently?

I think you are mistaking him for his brother, Lucifer.

Interestingly, Lucifer's way is to steal, plunder, expropriate, and cheat to get what one desires. Lucifer doesn't believe in honest work because that's for suckers. He also isn't much on free market capitalism. He prefers to "spread the wealth around" at sword's point.

Interesting.
