The best why I can describe the events is through the use of early 20th century imagery. This photograph says a lot to me regarding the Coup:

Image

This is Paul-Cèsar Helleu, G. Boldini and L. Casati wearing the Indo-persane costume in the garden of Palazzo de Leoni, photograph by Mariano Fortuny, 1913.

To me, it signifies Heavenly Father (left), the Holy Ghost (center), and Heavenly Mother (right)

Hi Zee,

I don't know why, but somehow I pictured the holy ghost as being taller. Although, could that be the very footstool he is standing on which I hear so much about? sooooo many questions......

God (the husband) wears the emblems of power and might. God (the wife) wears a costume of fierce luxury and structural detail. Look at her face. See how she looks at her husband? She is fed up!

Can you blame her? Just look at him. It doesn't look like he's trying to keep himself up. He must think that since she's been with him so long, he doesn't need to try anymore. Plus, he's not even bothering to acknowledge her! Does he know nothing about PR pictures? This is wrong on so many levels.....

The Holy Ghost is trying mightily to hold them together but is is no use. She has grown equal in might to her husband and is ready to take over as the ruler of the heavens. Creation runs in her blood. She knows how to grow life within her. She feels creation with every breath. Her husband is oblivious to our modern needs.

Also, the holy ghost's suit seems a bit out-dated. (He doesn't actually use that hankie, does he? I've been looking forward to not blowing my nose throughout eternity.) Mother's gown, OTOH, has classic beauty. Her husband's gown?....not so much.

He has a strong army at his disposal but she is hiding a rebellion of monumental force. There is so much drama and action going on in the heavens right now! We just have to look up there and believe it.

This is going to be exciting! Thank you so much for pointing this out to me. If it comes down to taking sides, I'd have to go with mother. I've felt the pains of giving birth; I doubt it was her idea to multiply our sorrow in bringing forth children! And the cramps....whose idea was that???

Love,

jo

Zee,

Since most of what happens here in the flesh in the physical plane has a primary source in the spirit world then all of the conflict we see around us must be a small subset of the conflict above. And just as we go through cycles I am sure the cycles in heaven are more dramatic. And I have to say what good is an army if you fight someone that can just make more armies. I have to think the creation side has some advantage.

This is just another example of playing with words to attack the Mormons. It is what Satan did as recorded in the Bible also. God knows all things now, it's true. However, He is still progressing by creating more!

The concept of a "true church" is just weird.

A church is a congregation...the body of Christ. Calling a church true is like calling a person true. We tend not to talk that way in real conversation.

I have tried to subtly ease members of the other board into some form of Universalism but to no avail...

What is God currently creating?

Christ (if we're talking Jesus) didn't establish a church institution.

So your assertion that God is currently creating is just another baseless assertions that keeps you warm at night. Nonsense. You're full of nonsense.
