I'd probably be pissed off too if the only places I could published were Front Page and Meridian.

Coming from you, I take this as a great compliment. That's how highly I judge your opinion and your reasoning ability.

Care to put money on that Droopy? Let's call a "bloodbath" a 7.3 point Romney victory - the same as Obama's over McCain. Do you want to bet 1 thousand dollars over whether that happens? I'm sure that can be facilitated somehow. I suppose you could also bet your entire life savings on Romney in intrade right now as Romney is going for around 37 cents. That means if he wins you get paid 1 dollar for every 37 cent share you buy. If you think he really is that far up despite trailing in polling and almost every credible prediction modeling system I'm aware of, that's a killer deal. Want to screecap you spending a massive amount of money on that for us?

My guess is that it will be close in the popular vote, but Obama will have a big advantage in the electoral vote. He's putting some distance between himself in most of the swing states.

WAY too early to tell . . . just think about all the things that happened in the 2008 election that didn't occur prior to this point in time in 2008 (e.g., Sarah Palin and the hilariously devastating SNL impersonations of her, and the financial crisis). Anything can happen at this point.

Obama is a modest favorite right now. He is consistently leading in both national and electoral polls. The most sophisticated forecast modeling is consistently predicting Obama winning in a relatively tight contest. It is, however, close enough that it's basically 60/40 - 70/30 proposition. Romney certain could win, but he's a dog right now and he isn't likely to win by a lot barring some unusual circumstance. Droopy's unsourced claim that Democratic internal polling suggests it's going to be a bloodbath is completely up in the night. And if it were true, he could make a boatload of money on his hidden knowledge.

Before the year 2008 even started the Democratic nominee was pretty much guaranteed to win that election. The primary between Obama and Clinton was more the real presidential election that the presidential election was.

I'm betting he's listening to Dick Morris, the guy who is consistently wrong about pretty much everything (while claiming to have solid inside information), and who is predicting a Romney landslide.

Who could forget his prediction of Condi over Hillary in 2008?

Two weeks before Ronald Reagan creamed Jimmah Carter in the largest landslide in history, a number of polls had Carter ahead (Gallup was one) by a reasonable margin.

The polls at this, point, are roasted on an open fire and the microwaved. The deep and pervasive dissatisfaction with the economy and state of the nation, with Obamacare, and other of his initiates, belie the deep fat fried polling data. I never pay any attention to the polls, and never will. They're mostly hokum, and most of them are carefully cooked to get the results desired.

Obama is gone, and when he's gone, the only question is if Romney will be up to undoing enough of the mess Obama, Bush, Clinton, Carter, Nixon, and the Democratic party have made of the country and the constitution.

I say, of course, that this is pure fantasy. He's not adequate to the crisis that faces him, but he'll be far preferable to Che Soetoro.
