Why not?

Frankly, I think it is silly. If men want to come to a cooking class, why not?

If women want to go to a car repair class, more power to them!

My husband is a better cook than I am! He cooks more of the family meals than I do right now because of our work schedules.

He is 6'4, and I don't think that anyone would mistake him for a "female wannabe"...particularly when he answers the door before one of his daughters is going out on a date!

The Bishop did not know what to do when it came to split for Priesthood and Relief Society. At the end of services the Bishop took him/her into the office and told him/her not to return.

This is so sad. I understand that the church and many members have difficulty with the very idea of transgendered folks. There really isn't a place in "the plan" for people who don't fit neatly into the rigid sex/gender roles ascribed by the church. I just think it's sad that when faced with a puzzle like this, the bishop couldn't figure out some way of accommodating the person's gender identity. I mean, I get that there would be so-called "worthiness" issues with regard to callings, the temple etc. But, is it really too much to ask that a person just be able to sit in a regular church meeting?

Can you ask hubby if he would like to host an EQ puff pastry party? At the party, they would all learn how to make turnovers and discuss football. Please return and report. Thanks!

I don't believe that would happen.

Yes, it would, and I know my penises, lol.

Now, sisters show up at Priesthood Meeting when they are consecrating oil.

Discuss.

The sisters are not allowed into the Chapel kitchen when the young priesthood holders are preparing the Sacrament. I'm not kidding.

You must be out in the sticks. Most ward buildings I've been in have a little sacrament preparation room with a sink and cupboards full of little cups and the trays.

Uh...the sisters in our ward are...or at least ONE sister is. My friend, Karen, bakes the bread for the sacrament. She makes homemade bread every week and takes it in for them to use. I always wish I could take more than just one piece. LOL It is good bread!

One open mike Sunday the first person up was a member visitor who spent five minutes of her 'testimony' lambasting the ward for using brown bread for the Sacrament. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, but I don't think it was the spirit...
