To varying degrees all churches are the same that are run by men. Some of the older ones have a long history but allow the others 2000 years and they may just catch up with their own problems. The Catholic church has around 68 million members in the USA and Canada.

The LDS has around 6 million. So we can expect around ten times more problems with the Catholics just based on population. I don't know how it all breaks out and I don't care. Any evil is bad. But in this world it is expected.

So, what is the anger about? Now that would be a good question.

Why me, I paused before responding to this because I find it so strange that I am sure I must be missing something in your though process.

Of course the LDS church has not been proven untrue.Such is virtually impossible. After all The documents for the book of Abraham are found but even that is not proof. We will have to wait for some final judgement from God. What I do not understand is why you do not realize that the anger all sorts of people leaving the Mormons experience is a direct result of the permanent uncertainty. They cannot stop their brain from thinking it untrue while their cultural upbring says that very thought they cannot stop marks them as condemned. It is hell . I cannot imaging why you do not understand. Do you actually not only believe people should not ask if their religion is true but you know a way to stop your brain from wondering?.

Is it as special drug you take to stop the questions? perhaps surgery? I am clueless.

He does know a way to stop his brain from wondering.

It does not involve any drugs.

It does not involve surgery.

It simply requires why me to read his own posts.

You sure you want to go down that road, hobo?

Do you want to talk about why punitive damages have been awarded against several dioceses in lawsuits over child sex abuse by Catholic priests?

So it doesn't make sense to be angry over something that can't be "proven" false.
But swearing to give all your time, talents, and energy to something that can't be proven true is admirable.

It seems to be quite the double standard.

We have found the facsimilies and papyrus pieces which clearly show the Book of Abraham is false. The only defense is to suggest that when Joseph said translated he meant 'inspired' and when he said 'by his own hand' he meant 'by someone else's hand'.

Either way, fakety fakety fake...

It doesn't make sense to be angry about something that can't be proven false. It is one thing to be disappointed, quite another to be angry. Some angry exmos claim that joseph conned them. Not true. No proof of a con. None...zilch.

Now the witnesses to the Book of Mormon would have a right to be angry because they would have experienced the con. But they never felt conned. Some did feel disappointment with Joseph Smith but never doubted their spiritual experience with the Book of Mormon. No anger management problems with the witnesses. They still believed their experience with the book as stated inside the Book of Mormon.

^What a stuipid statement.

Your best mate informs you that your wife is having a long term affair with the pool boy.
You cannot prove it false.
Does it make sense to be angry?

It is amazing. The most critical CAFers of Mormonism have difficult times seeing problems with their own faith's history. And if brought up to them to show that both the catholic and LDS church have imperfect histories and no sense going down the critical of LDS history road, report buttons are pushed and a moderator warning is issued. And a futrue ban will come.

I can understand the anger when one experiences abuse, especially from someone who has a profession of trust. That is legit anger.

No. I would find out if it is true. And if so, I will get angry. But I can't get angry without proof. But I can have feelings of mistrust among other things.
