uh, the Tax Policy Center report explicitly draws a connection between the two in Ryan's plan. i can't help it if you want to pretend it doesn't.
but you don't really need the Tax Policy Center to put 2 and 2 together for you. just answer this simple question for us: why is it that Ryan's plan doesn't get us to a balanced budget until after 2040?
i mean, doesn't that seem odd to you? why does it take so long? hmmmm.

Klein said she cited two reasons: If elected, she didn't want to be tied to Obama's left-leaning politics in her own 2016 bid. Second, if Obama loses, she would be tarred as a loser.
Political operatives worry about the "picture" that's painted in the media. Viewership and readership at liberal mainstream media outlets is way down and stories like low turnout, or a business refusing the Democrats and then being swamped by appreciative patrons paints a very bad picture in the increasing viewership/readership of the neutral media. Even worse are changes of course. Why is Biden such a drag now (as polls are now showing)? Why is the corruption spilling forth etc.? Now most of the country is already polarized but every day now we are hearing of the good news of people pulling away from the Democrats. It's a bad bad picture for them.

bcspace, you live in a world of "pictures" lovingly constructed for you by Fox News that allows you to feel happy despite current polls suggesting that your guy is headed for a landslide loss in the electoral college. you're so sealed off in happyland that you don't even notice the pattern in each of new piece of BS you are fed. it goes something like this: Romney is getting legitimately hammered over X; but no, actually it's Obama who's vulnerable on X!
so Romney picks a far right veep whose policies are poison to swing state independents, and within a week you're fed the fantasy that actually, no, it's Obama whose veep is a liability. what a coincidence!
