I'm just curious -- when did Pres. Monson last dedicate a temple? Seems like a while ago.

What a spectacle that will be!

I wonder how out of touch he is today.

Probably just a little more than he was 30 or 40 years ago.

If Monson dies and Packer becomes president, for any amount of time, he will set the LDS church back 1,950 years.

Nah. President Newsroom is running the show now. He will keep Packer in check. I'm sure Oaks, Uchtdorf, and Bednar will be assigned to the newly formed Grizzly Bear Management Committee and all will be well in Zion.

Don't bother, sunstoned. Someone capable of such a repulsive and morally debased "joke" is immune to rebuke.

It's okay, bcspace. When the U.S. Supreme Court inevitably holds that denying same-sex marriage violates the Equal Protection Clause, the Modern Corporate Reboot of Joseph's Magic Polygamy Cult will fold like a card table in the face of social pressure, as it always has. Then we'll all hear about how we don't know why the Church once condemned same-sex marriage, and we should forget everything the Bretheren said because they were speaking with limited knowledge, and how the opposition to same-sex marriage was never about sexual orientation.

In the meantime, though, you just keep fantasizing about your favorite senile televangelist beating up teh gheys.
