So If Monson were to say it's all a farce, all the TBM's will laugh at him like an ordinary senile old kook. That would be nothing new however, copouts like that are abundant all throughout Mormon history.

Did you mean "Party Fowl", because I did see him sitting with a couple of turkeys at conference

Maybe the diagnosis is to soothe the whole "One, Two, Three, Let's go Shopping" fiasco and subsequent blowback

Urban dictionary

party foul

Something that goes wrong at a party.

Often when someone spills or breaks or drops something at a party (often resulting in a mess or general spectacle), or when someone does something embarassing or dumb.

Usually accompanied by someone actually yelling, "Party Foul!" while everyone else laughs because they're drunk.
** Jake drops beer and spills it all over the floor.

Nick: PARTY FOUL!

I think the reference is to the peculiar and clearly non-scripted pseudo-joke with which Monson introduced his last General Conference talk.
Zadok:
I did not have a faith crisis. I discovered that the Church was having a truth crisis.
Maksutov:
That's the problem with this supernatural stuff, it doesn't really solve anything. It's a placeholder for ignorance.

The late for General Conference party foul.

When he took the pulpit, he looked left, looked right (Said it's all a scam) then walked away. However Monson wasn't going to walk away.

Given the mindset of the LDS members and non-members at that point in time regarding the "non-existent but prevalent apostasy Issue" I just had to laugh.

Monson's Speech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mx_jCCStYHE

Elder Oaks acknowledging apostasy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=93XqR6IOcAw

Oaks gave this speech 1 week before Marlin K. Jensen was forced to retract his statement regarding the mass apostasy.

So, If Monson no longer believes the in the Mormon faith, he's obviously crazy. Just like any other person that doubts Mormon Doctrine. One can't be held accountable for their actions if they're nuts.

Hmmm. It's very strange that "Doctor Scratch" received this "intel" on the very same day that Steve Benson posted it on RFM.

Mysteries abound (perhaps for those who don't read RFM).

Benson and Scratch seem to be working in tandem. Of course, they both have "the best interests" of the Church in mind.

Can we doubt that?

Excellent point. Party Fowl usually consist of penguins and a few full breasted hens who are invited to spice up a normally dull computer users party.

I'm still praying for President Monson.

one more data point on tsm's mental situation.

my tbm son attended the gila bend temple dedication by monson- he said monson told a story then 10 minutes later in the speech told the exact same story and people were like looking aroound at each. tbm son said he will not be surprised if tsm takes no part in the next conference-there is the possibilty he will talk on a tight script but that will be a last minute decision. no one wants to see tsm wander off topic or perhaps try to take his clothes off as my alz's tormented older brother tries to do sometimes.

jsut sayin

Is there any update on this situation? Was Monson active at the most recent Conference?

Doctor Scratch wrote:I heard this morning from one of my informants--this is the person who supposedly has a rather deep connection to the Church hierarchy in Salt Lake City. Compared with the intel I receive concerning the Maxwell Institute, this is much harder to verify, so as always, take it with a shaker-full of salt.

In any case, I was told that Pres. Monson has entered a period of decline due to Alzheimer's Disease. Allegedly, he has begun to do "embarrassing" things in public venues, and he is now surrounded by Church-appointed handlers virtually 24-7. The interesting thing is that the Brethren have (again, allegedly) divided into competing factions. One of these is led by Elder Uchtdorf, who basically wants to take over in much the same way that Pres. Hinckley did after Pres. Benson became incapacitated.

The other faction is, of course, led by Elder Packer. Interestingly, according to my informant, Elder Packer wants to stage a kind of "coup" whereby the Brethren would vote to give Pres. Monson "emeritus" status, thus allowing Packer to ascend to the throne in spite of the fact that Monson is still alive. My informant added in the detail that Pres. Packer's patriarchal blessing said that he would one day hold the office of Church President, so he may view this as his chance to fulfill this "divine calling."

Again: I want to stress that, as of right now, this pretty much has the status of a "believable rumor." As with a lot of the intel I am given, its truthfulness (or falseness) will be borne out in the coming weeks and months. So treat this with skepticism.
