Locked thread..Mod intervention..Pahoran given last word MAD

Pahoran seems to have taken exception to my signature line;

So he started a thread titled, "Feeling The Honesty About Heber C. Kimball" over at MAD.

Yesterday evening the thread was locked after my response(#9). Today, to my surprise, I see that at 5:20pm, Pahoran was allowed to slip in the final word on a thread that had been locked close to 24 hours ago.

Clearly, the rules only exist to be applied against critics.

Yet quite recently, Schryver had the balls to accuse mods here of thread alterations in order to frame him. I guess to him it seemed like a story he could float, since altering threads at MAD is a time honored practice.

Pahoran, since you've been kicking around here lately, care to enlighten me as to how this happened? You know, the very thread where you called me dishonest? Yeah, I won't my hold breath.

I think they've just decided to drop even the pretense of fairness on that board. The reality is that Mormonism generally doesn't tolerate open discussion. Also Pahoran is a dick.

The funny thing was, I was quite surprised to see that I had made the last post on the thread before it was locked. My best guess was that I just happened to hit "submit" right before the mod hit "lock".

As we all know, the usual mode of operation over there is to allow an apologist or two to make the final chime in comments, and then a mod locks a thread. We have all seen this scenario play out over and over.

Yes he is a dick. And I told Pahoran years ago that he is my favorite apologist because he unwittingly swings the bat for our team.

Well, it turns out that the mods are not responsible. Seems that when you reach 2000 posts over there, the tools are then made available to unlock a thread that you have started. I had to specifically ask about this. You can lock your own thread, and unlock it again even if a mod has shut it down.

What critic can last for 2000 posts?

These tools sure were news to me. Level playing field my a$$.

By taking issue with this quote, it sounds like Pahoran is defending the notion that righteous Mormon missionaries of the 19th Century followed the ethic of bringing the prettiest converts back to their leaders rather than marrying them themselves.
