My wife and I were over-budget on our credit card last month by about $200.00. We discussed some of the purchases that were on there as well as some of the unusual transactions that showed up. We're trying to be diligent with our budget, but we just didn't make it last month.
Sometimes we get into heated discussions about the purchases on our credit card, but she wasn't that upset this time. She said that we got a windfall from her former employer ($200 to be exact) so it turned out okay! The amount we were over-budget was the exact amount she received from her former employer!
I turned to her and said, "See? This is what happens when we pay our tithing! God will provide."
She looks at me and slaps me on the back. "We haven't paid tithing in almost 2 years!"
Oh yeah...
The blessings of paying tithing...

Thanks to all the members world-wide, I was able to attend a private University at the price of an in-state university.

Me too. Unfortunately when asked where I went to school (it just happened last weekend in fact) I have to admit it was Brigham Young.
Mormonism ceased being a compelling topic for me when I finally came to terms with its transformation from a personality cult into a combination of a real estate company, a SuperPac, and Westboro Baptist Church. - Kishkumen
