Heber C. Kimball was commanded by Joseph to take on plural wives. Joseph apparently choose the wife for him. In this case, Heber was commanded not to tell his wife Vilate of the marriage "for fear that she would not receive the principal." Eventually Heber obeyed this "commandment."

Funny how these guys insist Joseph Smith never hid his marriages from Emma.

I hope you can trust me when I tell you that neither of these sources, not BYU.edu nor LDS.org, are anti-mormon, or apostate-oriented organizations, despite the fact that they publish such damning evidences against Joseph Smith.

I'm sure this isn't the first time you've had this pointed out to you. I am also sure that you are aware that the LORD allows sinners plenty of opportunities to repent. Bennett was doing some good things for the Church and the City of Nauvoo and isn't it just possible that the LORD was referring to those things in this context. I don't think that means he gets a pass for his immoral behavior and in the end he was given the opportunity to change his ways and did not. Interestingly, he is an early example of an apostate who left the church but could leave the church alone.
Then saith He to Thomas... be not faithless, but believing. - John 20:27
How would Bennett change his ways? He abandoned his wife in children in another state. Is God okay with that?

God didn't know about that until Joseph Smith found out about it and told him. Duh.

ooOOOOoooh!
Hey, another question you might be able to answer. Why does Joseph get a free pass for his sins and not following the rules of polygamy but Bennett doesn't get a pass?

Simple: Bennett got caught.

I didn't say Joseph gets a free pass for his sins. I don't think he did. I don't think you or I will either.
As for polygamy, each were engaged in different practices that people tend to place under the umbrella of polygamy.

Joseph Smith wrote: What a thing it is for a man to be accused of committing adultery, and having seven wives, when I can only find one. I am the same man, and as innocent as I was fourteen years ago; and I can prove them all perjurers. I labored with these apostates myself until I was out of all manner of patience.
You can believe what the apostates accused Joseph of or you can believe Joseph. I've chosen to believe Joseph.
So set me straight here. Are you saying that you believe Joseph Smith when he said that did not practice polygamy?

This is what they mean by "mark."
