The enemy is bigotry which exists on both sides.

If someone were to express his freedom of speech and wear a sign over his body saying "I Hate Niggers" and then waltz on down the streets of a black neighborhood.

Who is to blame when things get violent?

The answer seems so clear until Muslims enter the equation.

Take another example. The Mormons excusing the violence of other Mormons by saying they were verbally provoked (i.e. Mountain Meadows). Funny how that same logic never seems to be considered when the Muslims are involved.

You call radical, totalitarian Jihadist Islam "bigotry?" I've become partial to "genocidal barbarism" myself.

So "bigotry" is the enemy, and on both sides yet (yes, America is just riddled with anti-Muslim bigotry, and maps that don't show the Middle East existing, and groups of Americans marching and chanting for the beheading and slaying of anyone who insults America, and telling their children that Muslims make bread out of the blood of American children, and calling for the driving of all Muslims into the sea, and shouting "Death to Islam!" and strapping bombs to themselves and walking into Muslim restaurants, schools, and weddings and...well, you get the picture.

Muslims are actually doing very well here, by all measures, in all actuality.

And here all along I've been under the impression the enemy was, not a amorphous "bigotry," but Wahhabist Islam. Silly me.

If someone were to express his freedom of speech and wear a sign over his body saying "I Hate n*****s" and then waltz on down the streets of a black neighborhood.

The people who become violent.

The answer seems so clear until Muslims enter the equation.

I'm not sure I follow. American black people, who you believe are, apparently, in general, so primitive, emotionally driven, and immature in their psychology and impulse control that they are prone to mob violence when someone insults them, are very much like the average Middle Eastern Muslim, who is so primitive, emotionally driven, and immature in their impulse control that the spend much of their adult lives dreaming of killing Jews, blowing up Americans and Europeans because of cartoons and an obscure faux movie trailer?

But I thought it was only a small (but substantial) minority of radical, fundamentalist Muslims - Islamist Muslims - who were the problem, not all Muslims?

I do understand that, just as with black people, Muslims are now mascots of the Left, if not their new noble savages (another group of "indigenous peoples" to use as ideological fodder against the West) and must be protected, shielded, patted on the head, and given every opportunity to act out their post-colonial studies fantasies.

Take another example. The Mormons excusing the violence of other Mormons by saying they were verbally provoked (i.e. Mountain Meadows).

I've never encountered this before, but the provocation, in the minds of the MMM folks (who's crimes were a completely isolated and extreme incident, and in no way connected with the Church in any case) were not verbal, but years of mass violence with the de facto connivance of government, mass property destruction, murder, rape, and other atrocities. I don't know of anyone who's ever excused it, but verbal insults?

Funny how that same logic never seems to be considered when the Muslims are involved.

I don't know what you're talking about, or what point your trying to make.

I retire.
