It seems like every few conferences someone starts spreading rumors about an important revelation to be announced. It never happens.

It's too bad Runtu/Buffalo doesn't post here anymore. This would be perfect fodder for one of his patented Top 10 lists: top ten potential revelations Monson might give at the next conference.

Wait? Runtu is Buffalo? I thought I was supposed to be Buffalo. Now I'm totally confused.

Oh did I mess that up? I get so confused with who is supposed to be who. If you are Buffalo, who was Runtu? Maybe Runtu was David Bokovoy. He is always praising Bokovoy on his blog. I'm pretty sure that's the case now that I think about it. Or maybe Runtu was the pseudonym of John Hamer, which would explain why Runtu has so vigorously defended Hamer's sister against Midgley's personal attacks. Anyway, this is all pure speculation and I don't claim to have any evidence for any of it. My point was I miss Runtu. Hopefully, he still lurks here occasionally and he will produce a new top ten list on his blog.

I know you meant that to clear things up but I'm even more confused than before. But then I usually am.

I would like to see subgenius's/bcspace's/Droopy's/ldsfaqs's/Schryver's/DCP's/Packers reaction to a revelation giving women and gays the Priesthood...

Are you telling God what He can and can't do?

I for one would LOVE a change to a 2-hour block.

cicero,
I've been following Danvers blog for sometime and he doesn't strike me as someone given to speculation.

also, the fact that he named Russell m Nelson as the source as credibility to his claim. Denver is an attorney and I can't imagine him name dropping needlessly.

he may have gotten bad Intel but I can't see him posting a rumor and attributing it to a general authority.

p s sorry for the crappy grammar and spelling my smart phone hates my dumb accent

There's nothing new under the sun:

There's a thread over at MAD, and it was mentioned here in another thread, that there's a rumor that this general conference will be 'Historical'. DP posted this quote from russell nelson "while all conferences are historic," this one would be "historic with a capital H."

Maybe some of our faithful participants can refresh our collective recollection about the "historic with a capital H" events that occurred at the April 2007 General Conference.

They rededicated the tabernacle, and the auditing department reported:

Based upon audits performed, the Church Auditing Department is of the opinion that, in all material respects, contributions received, expenditures made, and assets of the Church for the year 2006 have been recorded and administered in accordance with appropriate accounting practices, approved budgets, and Church policies and procedures.
