How does that pertain to the question at hand?
It is better to be a warrior in a garden, than a gardener at war.

Some of us, on the other hand, actually prefer a religion that includes some type of correlation with reality.

Did we read the same second post in the thread? You know the one you wrote.....

Yeah, what about it? Atheists don't believe in God. That should be obvious. Is there really a need for me to further comment about it?

Apparently tobin forgot what he posted in his OP.

Actually, I was responding to Themis and his charges/attacks as usual. Thank you for carefully reading and comprehending what is going on as usual. I can see that isn't your strong suit.

Apparently neither can you since your OP was the first one attacking others. My OP only tried to clarify to someone who may not know you yet.

Wow. That is useful. You might was well worship a stone idol in my opinion. At least you can see that and interact with it somewhat.

That is a lot of assumptions about me that I never said.

That is a false statement because it it self-contradictory.

My opinion is that creation started with the big bang and will end in a big crunch. It is simply the exhale and inhale of God. Like our own lungs and our own heart beat. Expansion and contraction, duality, is what creates time and space.

That, too, is false. For a little over 10 years now we've known that the universe is actually accelerating its rate of expansion. Therefore, there will be no big crunch; matter will continue outward forever.

Because the former Mormons who become atheists weren't Mormon at all really. They were really atheists and unsurprisingly a religion, based on personal revelation and a "real" interaction with God, didn't work out for them. No-one should be too surprised about this outcome at all.

More likely they didn't have favorable interactions with others in that faith that exhibit a need to OvER State the nice little tighty package of salvation. That they need to believe in in order to not have to face the rather large non boxed reality. Also it makes them feel better to point out how others are screwing up according to their view.

So what were you like before you found Mormonism Tobin? Maybe you should revisit some of those qualities.
Your certainly not setting any examples that would make one want to join Mormonism here.

I don't care if you join Mormonism or not. I'm only interested if you really believe the proposition that the scriptures are REALLY true, that there is REALLY a God that you can REALLY see and REALLY talk to, and if you do believe those propositions - that you show interest in seeking and speaking with that God. What you and God decide to do after that is of little importance to me. The point of Mormonism in my opinion is to get people to really speak with God. I don't necessarily think the point of Mormonism is to join the LDS Church or any Church except the Church and Kingdom of God.
