Scott Gordon was less than truthful during his presentation late last year, this was discussed here and on mddb. Those unsubstantiated claims included his wrong claims about documentation of Joseph Smith's polygamy and Joseph Smith using a stone in a hat to translate to the Plates which became known as the Book of Mormon.
Given that the stone in the hat description is one of the things David Twede is being disciplined for. Shouldn't Scott Gordon be hauled in for presenting things that will lead members out of the faith?
Or did he, like the snivelling little grass that he is, negotiate a lower penalty in return for inside information?

He may not have provided any evidence for that claim (I don't know if he did or didn't), but that claim is very probably true. Also, this claim is very probably true:
Some (Mormons who donated to the missionary fund) lost their jobs.
in real life, Scott is a kind man who is devoted to his family and his work. He is involved in his kid's interests and upfront and sincere about his beliefs. I would believe the statement noted in the OP was made without a lot of research to back it up. Mistakes have been made, I'm sure, in his quest to support his cause.

Zeezrom, I know this may be tough but it is clear that publicly Scott's a bit of a liar. Not only that, he has now played a voluntary part in the underhanded victimisation of a fellow member.
He may be devoted to his family and his work. He may be involved in his kids interests and upfront and sincere about his beliefs. But so was Hitler... Edited to add: As brade points out below, Hitler was a poor choice of comparison. My apologies. But my point being that someone being good to their family and employer may still be nasty and unpleasant to other people.
In what way has Scott listened to President Uchtdorf's counsel about not judging others?

Scott Gordon gave a presentation wherein he gVe false references to the stone in a hat.
And Scott Gordon has no evidence that Mormons lost their jobs for donating to prop 8. If you can post on mddb, start a thread and ask....it will be all crickets, or deliberate mispresentation of the individual facts.
All the claims that Joseph Smith fathered children through other women besides Emma so far have been unsubstantiated. I daresay none of you is without sin in that matter.........

Wait, did you just accuse the entire board of fathering children through extramarital affairs? You can't make this crap up, folks!

I hereby declare that I am without sin in the matter of fathering children through other women besides Emma.
"Finally, for your rather strange idea that miracles are somehow linked to the amount of gay sexual gratification that is taking place would require that primitive Christianity was launched by gay sex, would it not?"
