He is grand standing for attention and for a bishop's court. And it will happen. His blog was off the mark since poverty is created by a corrupt system of corruption and profit. A billion dollars for the poor will not even solve the problem for a week.

Good point. As Jesus said in Mark 21:10:

Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, but do not give it to the poor, who shall only squander the money and remain poor, but place it in more profitable investments, so that thou shalt have treasure on earth as well as heaven.

Peggy's article.

"Twede never met with his LDS stake president in Florida, the blogger wrote in an email to The Salt Lake Tribune. He instead received an email, which said, 'they [his local church leaders] couldn’t hold the court and would possibly reschedule later. That they will let me know.'"

ETA: That's about the same thing they did with Thomas Murphy.
"And the human knew the source of life, the woman of him, and she conceived and bore Cain, and said, 'I have procreated a man with Yahweh.'" Gen. 4:1, interior quote translated by D. Bokovoy.

A newspaper article? Hardly a front page story?

It was the most read story on The Daily Beast with currently over 2300 comments, on the front page of CNN, the front page of NYT online and page 12 in NYT print, Reuters, Huffington Post, Salon, many local newspapers, TV, radio, blogs, podcasts, YouTube, tweeted by Richard Dawkins and Roger Ebert, and more. 8 media interviews were declined due to exhaustion.

Even the church was forced to respond, after initially declining comment for the first Daily Beast article.

MT hits increased 10 times, and hundreds of emails were received thanking MT, both from previous readers, and from those who had newly found MT due to the media coverage.

I would say that was a huge reaction, but Why Me will spin it to cope with his own dissonance.

I've read 3 postings in this thread about Twede having resigned. I have personal knowledge that this is not the case. Twede has NOT resigned.

I think some have confused Twede with the previous MormonThink editor.

Yes, I think you are correct. They are confusing the two editors that the church summoned to excommunication court.
When the previous editor received notification of disciplinary action for MormonThink, he resigned for the sake of his family.
David Twede, the current editor, has not resigned.

The fact that the church has come after the last 2 editors of MormonThink speaks volumes about the damage the true facts on MormonThink are doing to the church, and GAs are trying to do damage control. It won't work in this information age. The more they come after the people on MT, the worse the church will look.

Great. But here is a fact. In america one can be famous for 15 minutes and then disappear. The point is to last a week before the media show moves on to the next 'star'. Do you remember the temple baptism woman...the australian? Nope.

So, MormonThink is trying to do damage toward the LDS church? Really? Gee, I would never have thought so. But thank you for admitting the goal of MormonThink. People here were actually thinking that you were doing the members a favor.

MormonThink is not that important. You exist to cast doubt...to create damage toward the LDS church. Which by the way, was my point all along.

Is it mormonthink, or exposure to the non spun history of the church available via mormonthink that does damage?

The history does not do damage. But how it is presented can. Such is history, full of interpretations and points of views. In MormonThink's case, as admitted by diane the point is to cause damage and thus, it is interpreted as such: to cause damage.

Which was my point all a long.

That's not what Dianne wrote for what it's worth. Are you saying that there is a way of spinning Joseph's polyandry Why me? At least Mike Quinn who knows more than any of us probably, says it for what it is and yet still believes in the prophethood of Joseph Smith. It happened. People should know it happened and then deal with it in terms of their own conscience.
