Modern Mormonism is wedded to capitalism and the accumulation of wealth. Romney is just doing what his religion taught him to do. We give lip service to caring for the poor and treating everyone as equals, but that's about it.

That is why I call myself a Nibley Mormon when it comes to social issues. I find this version Romney seems to hew to a perverted form of the religion that is against the most basic principles taught by Jesus Christ in the New Testament. It is horrific how right wingers have corrupted Christianity into a religion of hate.
