I was going to come to Mormonisms defense here, but then I remembered that Scientology can set up echo chambers called "journals" and praise each other’s work to the high heavens too, so I have to concede your point.

Pahoran, your brand of anger doesn't resonate any more. You are in need of a makeover, but are too out of touch.

DCP is in exile. His star has dimmed, never to shine brightly again.

It occurs to me that there's a certain similarity in the fading fortunes of DCP and Mitt Romney this year.

Both have had large followings and have had the ability to raise considerable sums of money for their causes. Yet for both, it's all gone somehow wrong ... quite devastatingly so.

Right.

IF anything it was a fake Facebook account.

Kishkumen wrote:Well, it looks like you are trying pretty hard to skew this matter from reality. After all, Daniel invited people to look at his Amazon page, and then pretended that it wasn't his simply because his son had used it. LOL!

You know Kish, if you're going to be a pompous blowhard who pedantically corrects people based upon subtle little semantic nuances, you ought not to make such brazen errors of fact.

Dan invited people to look at the book reviews he had written on Amazon, not to go digging through a wish list.

Your accusation that he merely "pretended" the wish list item wasn't his is a false accusation made without supporting evidence. As such, it is indicative merely of your own malice and dishonesty.

ROFLMAO!!!

What a distinction. Ooh! He said "book reviews." Yeah, that makes all the difference in the world. No doubt it was the upright thing to do not to look at his publicly available wishlist.

You are a nut.

What matters is that he sent people looking at his footprint on Amazon. It is a little silly for him to bellyache about it as though it were some unexpected atrocity.

As a matter of fact, it does. Thank you for admitting that.

Why thank you, Kish. That's quite possibly the nicest thing you've ever written about me in this forum.

Actually for the purposes of this discussion, what matters is that the wishlist item about which your hero, the worthless Scratch, made so merry was not Dan's, but his son's. That is what the evidence tells us, and anyone who accuses him of "pretending" that is simply a liar.

Now we know what happens when the mopologists lose the need for restraint that comes with publishing through a university. I like Bokovoy's essay, but it's been all downhill since then. If this is the kind of stuff Bradford was rejecting, my respect for him has increased exponentially.

As a matter of fact, it doesn't. But to a hairsplitting sophist like you the pretense is no effort.

And most certainly the nicest thing I have thought about you anywhere and at anytime.

What we do know is that Daniel Peterson, like you, frames things as best suits his rhetorical interests whether they are representative of the truth or not, and, furthermore, he will probably be wiser than to invite people to look into his Amazon account in the future. The latter is the lesson of real value. We've known the former for some years now.
