Do you really think that your vitriol filled defense of the church helps its cause?

Pahoran could have probably solved world hunger if he channeled his rage and anger into a useful function like his church admonishes.

Sadly, Pahoran does not follow the admonishments of his church or its savior. What use is a person to an organization or world that does not live its precepts? Tares to be burned in the end I am afraid.

SteelHead wrote:So the JOD is good enough for doctrinal manuals when it is, but not doctrinal when it isn't. Great. And you call me a hypocrite.

Only because you are one.

It is the province of any faith community to determine what is binding upon it and what is not; what is primary and what is secondary; what is central and what is peripheral. Its enemies and attackers -- whether they have managed to infiltrate it or not -- have no role in that.

SteelHead wrote:If being included in the temple ceremony is not sufficient to make a teaching doctrinal, then what parts of the temple ceremony are? Do I get to pick and choose, or is that responsibility left to you, as you already seem to have exercised it?

Believing Latter-day Saints do not discuss the details of the Temple in profane space; and there aren't many places more profane than this. If you had a shred of respect for the Temple and its ordinances, you would refrain from trying to drag them in here and parade them before your fellow swine.

SteelHead wrote:Fun, the you do not belong to our club, hence are unqualified to comment upon it defense. Too bad there is so much publicly available information these days........................ oh and but wait. What is this? A current temple recommend in my wallet?

I know, I know, you will say I am not fit to posses it.

You tell me.

When you went for your TR interview, did you tell your Priesthood leader that you attack the Church on the Internet? Did you tell him that you profane the Temple in this sty? Did you tell him that you routinely propagate stock standard anti-Mormon propaganda?

Well?

There's a brief vignette in Schindler's List that I remember each time I see a performance like yours: a couple of Brown Shirts with scissors, clipping the earlocks of an Orthodox Jew. You'd be right at home in that role, wouldn't you?

Woah!!!! Did you just compare me to a Nazi? I think you lost.

Not when the comparison is valid.

It can't be any worse than your vitriol-filled attacks.

Okay, so it's an anonymous source. I'm sure you trust it, but it's still unverified.

Right... Not true at all. There are elements of the temple ceremony that are talked about all over, the creation story for one. There are elements that you covenant not to reveal. The historical discussion of a topic of common knowledge (Adam-God) that is not covered by any temple covenant hardly profanes the temple. But you already knew that. You are just resorting to a weak dodge. This is not the MADhouse. That dodge does not work here. The only mention of temple content I have mentioned is that Adam-God was once taught as part of the ceremony. This hardly profanes the temple. It is like saying the creation is taught in the temple.

When you went for your TR interview, did you tell your Priesthood leader that you attack the Church on the Internet? Did you tell him that you profane the Temple in this sty? Did you tell him that you routinely propagate stock standard anti-Mormon propaganda?

Have it. Answered truthfully when I got it. Hold it of no value now. No longer use it.

Not when the comparison is valid.

Right. Because saying someone's doctrine is inconsistent and that dead prophets are thrown under the bus is the equivalent of causing someone physical harm, or participating in the holocaust. Prone to hyperbole much?

It can't be any worse than your vitriol-filled attacks.

I no longer claim to represent the moral high ground. So yes it can...... like I said "And you call me a hypocrite".
