Kish, you ought not to feel the least bit embarrassed by schreeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech's laughable attempt at amateur psychoanalysis. You ought to encourage him to continue to emulate you, his hero and role model.

But whatever you do, don't let him know that the purpose of fora like this one is to provide a "social club" where people can attack the Church of Jesus Christ without having to be the least bit "courageous." Let him keep his illusions.

So cynical and angry...Its sad to see how Mormonism affects some people. Maybe you should spend less time lashing out at people and accusing others of being bad Mormons and spend some time working on how you could actually get over the bitterness and find peace through your chosen belief system (maybe you should explore a new religion as Mormonism doesn't seem to be a good fit for you) . Anyway, maybe this will help:

Well you know, Consig, if I really had just come down in the last shower, I might just be inclined to fall for his "sincere" act.

But even if I hadn't already had a certain "history" with schreeeeeeeeeeeeech, the fact remains that his patronising "Eau how sad to see how Mormonism affects you" act is very obviously (1) an attempt to get in a back-handed slap at the Church, (2) a put-down, and (3) an attempt to bignote himself and appear magnanimous when he's being spiteful and sarcastic. In fact, these are altogether so obvious that not even you could expect anyone to be gullible enough to fall for it.

I wonder how many people here are willing to listen to Scott's side of the story?

The fact that even the most partisan anti-Mormon cannot overlook is that Twede's favourite cyber-haunt is the Ranting fanatical Maniacs site, i.e. RfM.

The other fact that even the most partisan anti-Mormon cannot overlook is that Twede's supporters are almost exclusively partisan anti-Mormons who seem to think that he advances their cause.

Well, of course he does. So the question is: why should the Church put up with it?

Is there any type of a statement that Gordon has made that is specific to this?

Here is the detail on that. On August 23, 2012, a poster by the name of "starlight012" posted the following message in the "Advice" forum at LDS.net.

This was the first time FAIR learned that the previous editor had left the Church (we don't know his name). This was also the first time that FAIR learned that there was a new managing editor.

On September 9, 2012, "starlight012" returned to LDS.net and started a new thread,

"starlight012" gave FAIR the full name of the editor, "David Twede". This was the first time that FAIR became aware of the editor's full name.

Later, after Twede went to the media, he created an account at "LDS.net" under his real name and attempted to post his "call to arms" against the Church. The moderators deleted it, and then, to everyone's surprise, they determined that Twede's IP address matched that of "starlight012." In other words, Twede, or someone at his location, is "starlight012" - the person who originally "called out" the blogger and passed information to FAIR about it. So, when Twede claimed in the media that he had a "source" that indicated that FAIR was involved, he really did have one. It was whoever posted the messages as "starlight012" from Twede's address.

The moderators at "LDS.net" then banned "starlight012" for sockpuppetry and posted the following message on September 24, 2012:
