Re: This debate is driving me nuts.
This is normal when candidates head into the debates with a firm lead in the polls. We saw the same thing with Kerry/ Bush.
Bush only needed a draw as the incumbent leading in polls while Kerry desperately needed a win to trigger something to change the direction in his favor.
There is no doubt Obama could have nailed him on a number of claims but he had a plan to settle for a draw and let Romney make an emotional spectacle of himself. I doubt he impressed many outside his base.

Romney "Dominated" in the sense that he managed to flood the discussion with more refuted facts and Fox News ralking points than you can shake a stick at. But i doubt that swayed many undecided voters, though I know it got all the Right Wingers pumped up.

I suspect Obama is holding back because he is alteady up in the polls
He's been trending downward slowly but surely. The latest from the left wing Politico is not good. I'll put up another thread for you......
Obama should pound a Red Bull or something, he was very passive. Reminds me of 2004 when Kerry cleaned Bush II's clock in the first debate.
Obama caricatures well into the Batman villain, the Joker. He's a serial liar and just as destructive. So I've always thought Romney should call him out from time to time in debate saying "You're joking, right?" and when Obama gets upset; "Why so serious?"
I'm sure the media is tired of working for this madman and would love the opportunity to do a nice caricature of their master like this.

Wonder why Obama did not bring up the 47% remarks Romney made?

Hey again Kevin
Huh??
Romney dominated in the sense of a debate, period.
Perhaps, but surely you wouldn't suggest that the undecided were swayed by Obama's performance, would you?
Without question.
Peace,

The no tax cut for rich is going to come back to bite Romney, As Bond noted Romney proposed a 20% cut on everyone's rates which includes the wealthy.
