"CFR"
"It's none of your business how the church spends God's tithing money."
"Wolves in sheep clothing"
"over at the trailer park..."
"if you would actually read what I wrote"
Pretty well every sentence and post that Wade Englund ever writes.

There is literally nothing in this world that bugs me more than those two statements. The funny thing is, you always know when someone has been defending the faith on yonder board when you hear them say it here.
Any mention of "presentism". As though it was really more acceptable in 1840 than 2012 for a 35 year old married man to take up with a 15 year old girl. Or that, in 1840, 15 year old girls were more "mature" than 15 year old girls are today.

Especially when you consider that "going to church" is often the biggest reason for many people losing faith in the first place. Sometimes I wonder if placing less emphasis on "going to church" every Sunday would make "going to church" more enjoyable when you do decide to attend. At least that's been the case for me. Going once a month or so makes it so I don't get a build up of negative feelings towards the things that otherwise would drive me crazy if I was forcing myself to attend every single week.

This, at one time annoyed me, but on reflection I began to realize it said volumes about the person that uses it. I now consider it a compliment.

Yes. It is very telling when their use of the phrase is intended as an insult. But seeing as how they've merely (unwittingly or not) adopted a term of our own Polygamy Porter's coining, I am not bothered by it in the slightest -- quite the contrary, in fact; I find it amusing.
