Thanks for the warm reply.

Leaving in 2 minutes to go to my son's game, so I am very short on time right now (Perhaps I can answer in full later. Or perhaps a more appropriate thread?) but a very short answer would be that I believe the Big Bang Theory has many and rather large problems within the disciplines of science and I also believe that a belief in it demands a leap as large as (if not larger) than any "religious" leap that is placed on the table of options.

Peace,
Ceeboo

I would like to hear what problems you believe there are in the Big Bang theory. For me, when multiple experiments confirm that the universe looks exactly like it should if there had been a Big Bang, I tend to wonder what these problems are.

That used to be one of my favorite shows, but I really feel like the quality has diminished the last couple of seasons. I don't really like all the new characters they introduced.

Anyway, those are my issues with the Big Bang theory.

Well it beats the "altitude adjustment" theory advanced by Al Gore. by the way, what happened to that dude? Did he swallow Ted Kennedy's head?

He does not look healthy at all. The swelling of his face and gray/yellow skin color suggest congestive heart failure. I hope he's taking care of himself.

So dumb. It was clearly a hanky. But stfw if he did have notes? Obama had his own that he kept taking during the debate:

You are delusional if you really think this is the sum of Romney's plan (other than perhaps the medicare/voucher plan and I doubt that would get by congress).

Yep. He wouldn't even be able to repeal "Obamacare." The House would vote to repeal, but not the Senate. It's also delusional to think that repealing the Bush tax cuts for the wealthy would put even a small dent in the deficit.

Equality wrote:Mark it on your calendars. I agree with why me on something. Romney looked better than he has looked since he won the nomination. But targeting Big Bird as his only specific budget cut is going to undermine it all. Just wait and see. If he had anything else specific re: budget cuts, it would not have been so bad.

This is simply nonesense. He did not target PBS as his ONLY cut. He said we have to look at things like PBS and decide if it is worth borrowing from China to continue to fund such things.

And of course Romney know that PBS and other non essential programs are not going get us out of debt alone. Entitlement reforms, defense spending reform (though Mitt gets and F on that one), revenue generation through a stronger economy as well as tax increases (Romney does not do well there either) will. But that does not mean we should not look at smaller budget items. It all adds up.
