I said that it was a good talk and it was. Try to have the buddha in you and seek self-enlightenment.
I intend to lay a foundation that will revolutionize the whole world.

You said it was inspired. Here is a definition of "inspiration" in a theological sense:

"a divine influence directly and immediately exerted upon the mind or soul".

I don't classify his remarks as inspired. They are commonplace, nothing more.

If can seek self-enlightenment through the Buddha, and I can get sappy platitudes from Reader's Digest and Chicken Soup for the Soul, why do I need the LDS Church?

I guess we agree then that the talk wasn't "inspired".

What from Uchtdorf's talk could be considered to have been Prophetic, Seeing or Revelatory content inspired by God?
“We look to not only the spiritual but also the temporal, and we believe that a person who is impoverished temporally cannot blossom spiritually.”
Keith McMullin - Counsellor in Presiding Bishopric

"One, two, three...let's go shopping!"
Thomas S Monson - Prophet, Seer, Revelator
