Or, I have seen the corner of a building where the vending machines were named after a donor. I thought that was pretty sad.
But that my friends is how knowledge is manufactured.
I was recently at a seminar at Chapman University in SoCal, a small private college, and it was a really nice campus, but literally every classroom, awning, doorway or drinking fountain had a donor's name on it. Standing on the football field and looking at their new stadium, I counted no fewer than 8 parts of the stadium that had different names on them. At some point it just seemed a little excessive.
